Today’s Outlook
After widespread (locally flooding) rains impacted the tri-state last night, today looks much quieter. The area of low pressure that was the culprit for the widespread rains is now pushing east, thus leaving the tri-state in a more stable airmass. Expect today’s high temperature to top out in the middle to upper 70s before we fall into the upper 50s tonight!
Weekend Outlook
The upcoming weekend looks halfway decent. Saturday’s weather will be dominated by a brief (but welcomed) area of high pressure, allowing for partly to mostly sunny skies and warmer temperatures (highs in the lower 80s). The nice weather will be short-lived as a fading cold front edges closer to the tri-state on Sunday. There will be just enough lift present to spark off a few showers/thunderstorms with this front, though they will be very scattered. Because the cold front will be fading, we will not see the temperature drop normally experienced with such a front. Highs on Sunday will top out around 80 degrees given the clouds/rain chances expected (which will help to keep the temperature down).
