Scattered Strong to Severe T-Storms Possible

After a fairly decent Monday, today looks to be a bit different. The first big change you will notice is the temperature…which is expected to top out around 90 degrees this afternoon! The humidity levels will also be quite high, with dewpoints hovering in the middle to upper 60s (uncomfortable levels). A frontal boundary to our north, as well as remnant outflow boundaries from yesterday’s severe storms to our north, will aid in the development of scattered showers/thunderstorms this afternoon and evening. Some of the storms may be strong to severe with large hail and damaging winds being the main threats. If anything, any storm will produce locally heavy rain amounts given the high moisture content in the atmosphere.
