The meltdown is on…

Well, after all of the snow and ice that fell, it seems crazy that a decent chunk of it will be melting away over the next couple days as temps rise well above freezing! For Saturday, expect temps to rise into the lower 30s, all the way up into the lower 40s by Sunday! One hazard of this warm weather will be snow/ice melting and falling off of trees, powerlines, and roofs (or anything else for that matter). Falling ice can be very dangerous, and can cause severe injuries! Please stay alert of this over the next few days as the meltdown begins…

As for the potential major winter storm I have noted for early next week…it appears that the low pressure center will remain too far to the east to have a major impact on us, and nothing more than scattered rain/snow showers should be expected at this time…

Comments:

Could that mean more snow days? I’m really into all these winter storms.

Hey Wendy!

I don’t think the melting ice will affect school, nor will the early week storm impact us. However, the long term outlook features an active pattern, so there will be plenty of more opportunites to see winter storms impacting the area! :-)
